New catcher to pitcher rule, recently instituted by Little League International Congress and put into effect on March 15, 2010.
|
That rule states that "Any player, who has played the position of catcher in four (4) or more innings in a game, is not eligible to pitch on that calendar day"
This means that a catcher that has caught ANY part of the 4th inning is not eligable to pitch--one pitch constitutes an inning.

This year we are teaming with South Bay Sports Training for our coaching seminar. We strongly recommend that all Managers and Coaches attend one of the clinics. They will teach proper throwing, hitting, fielding, batting, and pitching mechanics. They will also give suggestions on how to run a practice and keep the players interested and moving. This is open to anyone in our league, so please tell parents and friends involved with OGLL that they are welcome to attend. Their is no cost involved. Parents who come to the clinic and do not want to coach can still use the skills to teach their player one on one. To reserve a spot each person needs to email them at: southbaytraining@aol.com. Please provide them with your name, what date you will attend, age level you are coaching and what division, and a contact number.
