2010 Major Inter-League Rules for Oak Grove, Oakridge, Spartan and North Valley Little Leagues
|
1. All games are played under regular Little League rules, including protests. Protest Committee will consist of each League’s President; directors; Player Agent and UIC. 2. The Manager of each team will be responsible for maintaining a “Pitching Affidavit”. This document will be completed by the official scorer and signed by the scorer after each game. In the event a Manager fails to bring the affidavit to a game, the opposing manager will inform the umpire and official scorer that the game is being played under protest. The manager of the team without the affidavit will then have 48 hours to prove he did not use an ineligible pitcher. If it is found an ineligible pitcher was used, the game will be forfeited. 3. Home team will supply umpires and game balls. 4. Game time starts will be per schedule. 5. Each team will be responsible for the clean-up of the dugout they use. 6. There will be no time limits on games. The umpire will have the authority to call games for darkness. 7. All teams are required to show up at their scheduled fields despite bad weather. NO MANAGER OR COACH HAS THE AUTHORITY TO CANCEL A GAME. The chief umpire assigned to the game will determine if the game can be played or postponed. 8. Games postponed due to weather, insufficient players, etc. will be played on the next first available date, except Sundays, following the postponed game. In the event that a team is unable to field at least the minimum 9 players for the rescheduled game, that team will automatically forfeit that game. 9. All players MUST play a minimum of nine (9) consecutive defensive outs and bat at least one (1) time per game. 10. Scorekeepers – each league should keep an official score book in case a league needs to verify standings. The home team should supply an official scorekeeper. Each team should maintain a score book and that book will be subject to audit. 11. Pitchers - Pitching affidavits shall be provided as reference for pitcher eligibility. Managers/coaches can verify before and sign affidavits after each game. 12. Good Sportsmanship – no trash talk should be tolerated before, during or after games. At the end of each game, the teams should meet at home plate and congratulate each other. Good sportsmanship should be conducted at all times by players, managers, coaches, parents and fans. Managers and coaches are responsible for their own players. Parents and fans are responsible for themselves. If a parent or fan causes trouble, the other parents or fans should stop this from continuing. If this doesn’t stop, a designated volunteer or board member can ask and or escort the individual/individuals off the field area. If this is not enough the police can be called. In some cases umpire in chief can halt the game until the offender/offenders have left. 13. Each League will be responsible to assure that each manager and coach has a picture ID.
